Wendy Boulding is a performing songwriter whose music includes elements of R&B, Hip Hop, Funk, Jazz, and Pop.  She has written songs, performed, arranged and/or produced for recording artists, spoken word, and theatre.  Her lyrics range from the literary to the romantic and possess a strong sense of musicality and soul.  She has been featured in numerous concerts in the northeast as well as on radio and television.

A virtuosic singer and pianist, Wendy has performed to frequently packed houses in New York, including the Baggott Inn, Billie Holiday Theater, Bitter End, CAMI Hall, CBGB's Gallery, Chez Suzette, Dark Star Lounge, Josephine’s, Lion’s Den, Triad Theatre, Two Steps Down, and West End Theatre.

In addition to her own solo work, Wendy has performed and/or recorded with Carl Allocco, Eva Atsalis, Jeff Baron, Gary Carlisle, Alex Forbes, Robert Galinsky, Erin Gill-Reilly, Mike Gillotti, Pam Hamilton, Stefon Harris, Joey John, Rodney Jones, Ana Lisa Kirby, Adam Levin, Sherrie Lynne, Jay Mark, Lloyd Mayer, Danny Obadia, Songs of Love Foundation, Trance (Eric Smith), David Wolfert and others.  She has also acted, sung and/or composed for theatrical productions, including at the Performance Studio/Shakespeare on the Green, Ludlow Street Theatre and the Bliss Cafe.

Her musical inspirations include Stevie Wonder, Ashford & Simpson, Marvin Gaye, Quincy Jones, Phil Collins, Pat Metheny Group, Sade, Carole King, James Taylor, Carly Simon, The Beatles, Stephanie Mills, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Sting, Rod Stewart, Annie Lennox, Neil Sedaka, and Sarah Vaughn.

Growing up in a musical family, Wendy began playing piano at age six and composing in her teens. She studied classical and jazz piano and musical theatre.  Her training included study with jazz pianist Bill Brown, Jackie Byard and Gary Dial at the Manhattan School of Music, piano and electronic music at Southern Connecticut State University, and jazz piano and theory at Educational Center for the Arts.
